Together, let’s help end LGBTQ+ stigma  because who you love should not be a death sentence.

Everyone who has embarked upon this epic voyage has chosen a charitable cause to champion.

I am honoured to be supporting the
ELTON JOHN AIDS FOUNDATION
raising money for The Rocket Fund.

“We believe more than anything that you deserve the right to choose who you love & to love yourself, for who you are, no matter where you are in the world”.
Sir Elton John & David Furnish – British LGBT Awards 2020

Their words were so simple, yet so powerful.

I found myself genuinely moved to tears. With the idea of the Atlantic crossing already percolating in my mind, their message (so profoundly delivered) has been my driver ever since.

The original boat illustrations & visualisations were by the artist Christian Coop.

Nearly one-third of all nations classify LGBTQ+ people as criminals and in 13 countries homosexuality is punishable by death.

This makes it difficult for LGBTQ+ communities, still one of the groups disproportionately affected by HIV/AIDS, to get the healthcare they need.

We have the science to stop all new HIV infections and AIDS-related deaths, but the epidemic remains largely because the stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS and LGBTQ+ stigma persists.

As an ally, I believe that no matter who you are or who you love, everyone deserves to live free from fear & stigma.

Throughout this journey, I am focused on fighting stigma & helping empower the LGBTQ+ community towards greater rights & health equality to accelerate towards and AIDS free future.

The Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) has reached 100 million people, saved 5 million lives supporting LGBTQ+ people, young people & vulnerable communities globally.

Stigma, bias, & discrimination prevent many people from accessing the health services they need. EJAF is breaking down barriers to enable LGBTQ+ people access to safe & affirming health services and ensure no one is left behind.

TOGETHER, WE CAN HAVE A
[REAL IMPACT]
& END LGBTQ+ STIGMA
