In Dec 2024 Andrew Major will Row Solo in a race called 'The Worlds Toughest Row', 3000 miles Across The Atlantic Ocean.

THE
CHALLENGE

To row SOLO 3000 nautical miles in a race called ‘The World’s Toughest Row’ across the Atlantic Ocean from La Gomera, Canary Islands to Nelsons Dockyard, English Harbour , Antigua & Barbuda in an ocean rowing boat just 7 meters long.

WHO AM I?

Andrew Major is a successful businessman, husband, father, friend & marathon runner. Andrew has always lived near water & has his rowing boat, named ‘Jazzy’ after his wife, moored in Portsmouth. In his 60th year Andrew is going to embark on a challenge of a lifetime.

Recognising the early signs of burnout Andrew realised he needed to take control of his wellbeing. Something he could focus on ,that was both physical & technical, whilst also providing an opportunity to do some good in the world. That’s when he saw ‘Pegasus’ an R25 ocean rowing boat, at that time , owned by the ‘Grandads of the Atlantic’ moored in Port Solent marina.

WHY?

THE CAUSE

The Elton John AIDS Foundation provides meaningful and tangible support for LGBTQ+ communities and I am honoured to be partnering with them. Together, we are focused on ending LGBTQ+ stigma, helping empower the LGBTQ+ community towards greater rights and health equity, which will in turn accelerate an AIDS-free future.

Sponsorship

Andrew needs your help ! Simply put he will not make it to the start line without the support of amazing partners. He is very aware that this partnership must be a mutually beneficial arrangement rooted in shared values.

Are you a small business or individual, maybe a family member or friend who would like to be part of this amazing journey?

This endeavour not only provides branding opportunities & good PR for the sponsor but also a chance to make a real difference tackling issues that employees really care about. Engaging in allyship can help transform lives and bring about meaningful change.
